We currently have an internship opportunity in our New York office.This can be either full-time, part-time or flexible hours.

Interning with the James G. Elliott Co., Inc. provides an opportunity to get to know the industry first-hand, make contacts, and develop business organizational skills. The Elliott Co. welcomes ambitious, entrepreneurial, and proactive prospects who are interested in advertising, marketing and magazines. For this internship you’ll need to assemble projects in a neat and timely manner with a conscientious attitude of professionalism.

Things you may do as a James G. Elliott Co. intern: 

  • Assist advertising sales representatives and managers as needed
  • Research for leads, potential clients, and media kits on MediaRadar, Magazine Manager, Salesforce, SRDS, and other sites
  • Communicate with clients via phone call or email and respond or redirect questions to various reps
  • Assemble media kits, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel workbooks
  • Upload/find information in Box.com, Salesforce, and other places
  • Organize files, nametags, business cards, magazines, etc.
  • Photograph events

Desired skills: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Concise and clear email writing
  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to balance projects and priorities
    Good communication skills in person, on phone, and email
